| Description Lantana are part of the vervain family with over 150 species of shrub and herbaceous perennials. Lantana are a popular bedding plant and they also look good in hanging baskets with the stems trailing down. The tiny flowers grow right next to each other to form a small circular head. The lantana plant will have several of these heads of flowers on it. Though lantana can be grown as a perennial it is best as a annual in places where there is frost, because cold weather will kill lantana. Lantana should have plenty of moisture to help it stay healthy and blooming all season long. | |
