| Description There are many different kinds of impatiens. Some are annual plants and bloom from early summer until the first frost. Perennial impatiens bloom all year long and are grown in milder climates. The largest kind of impatiens grow up to 2 meters tall but most are less than half that height. The ones commonly sold at nurseries are hybrids and are often treated as annuals. Impatiens are very popular bedding plants, escpecially in shaded areas. Hanging baskets and window boxes are also popular spots for impatiens. | |
