| Description Celosia is one of the aristocrats of the bedding plant world. The large and brightly covered flower heads are crested or plumed, adding a luxury touch to the flower beds or an indoor arrangement. You must not forget, however, that all the Celosias are tender, so they require a warm and sheltered spot and must not be planted out until they have been properly hardened off and all danger of frost is past. | ||

| Description Coleus are typically grown as ornamental plants. They are heat-tolerant, though they do less well in full sun in subtropical areas than in the shade. In cultivation in temperate areas, they are often grown as annuals as they are not hardy and become leggy and unattractive with age. In bright hot areas, the colors of the plant will typically be more intense in shaded areas than in full sun, and the plants will require less water there. Coleus also make low-maintenance houseplants, and can often be propagated by clipping a length of stem just below the leaves and putting the stem in water to root. | ||

| Description There are many different kinds of impatiens. Some are annual plants and bloom from early summer until the first frost. Perennial impatiens bloom all year long and are grown in milder climates. The largest kind of impatiens grow up to 2 meters tall but most are less than half that height. The ones commonly sold at nurseries are hybrids and are often treated as annuals. Impatiens are very popular bedding plants, escpecially in shaded areas. Hanging baskets and window boxes are also popular spots for impatiens. | ||
