| Description Calibrochea are a popular hanging basket plant as they have long trailing stems and hundreds of small flowers all over them. The flowers resemble a petunia, which the calibrochoa is in the petunia family. Calibrochea will bloom from spring until the first frost producing hundreds of little flowers. It is a self-cleaning plant so you won't have to pick off very many dead flowers. It grows best in full sun but it can tolerate a very little shade. Too much shade though will cause the flowers to wilt. It should be planted in moist rich soil, though it will still grow during a drought, it should be watered when the top of the soil feels dry. It is also a good ground cover plant for small areas. | |
